Mehmet Bozkurt

Specialist Pharmacist Mehmet Bozkurt completed his pharmacy education in 2019 at Erciyes University Faculty of Pharmacy and, in the same year, began his master’s education in pharmacology, which he successfully completed in 2022, earning the title of “Master of Science in Pharmacology.” He strengthened his expertise in the field of neuropsychopharmacology with his master’s thesis focusing on the behavioral and molecular effects of vortioxetine in a schizophrenia model. He is currently continuing his academic work as a research assistant in the Department of Pharmacology at Erciyes University and pursuing his doctoral studies.

In his scientific research, Bozkurt primarily focuses on neuropsychopharmacology, as well as in vivo and in vitro experimental models related to diseases such as cancer and diabetes, drawing attention with his multidisciplinary approach. As of 2025, he has been involved as a researcher in 3 TÜBİTAK-1001 projects and 5 university-funded projects, and continues his academic productivity with 11 articles published in SCI-Expanded indexed journals and a total of 17 scientific presentations. His H-index is 4.

Serving as an R&D Supervisor at GUIS Pharmaceutical R&D, Bozkurt takes part in integrated R&D processes for pharmaceutical, medical device, dermocosmetic, and dietary supplement products. He actively contributes from the early stages of the product life cycle to validation processes, particularly in project development based on molecular pharmacology, biocompatibility test planning, preclinical evaluations, and toxicological risk analyses.

Combining academic discipline with private sector dynamics, Mehmet Bozkurt contributes to the institution’s vision of producing innovative healthcare solutions with his approach focused on scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality.
